Who’s Moving Where In Wealth Management? – InspereX, Partners Group

The latest moves, appointments and personnel changes in wealth management for North America.
InspereX
Delray Beach, Florida-headquartered InspereX, a tech-driven fixed
income and structured products distribution and trading firm, has
appointed Mark Whyman as managing director, RIA and private
market solutions. Whyman will report to Deryk Rhodes, managing
director and head of wealth management solutions, the firm said
in a statement.
Whyman's remit is to build the firm’s private markets platform in partnership with asset managers and technology providers. In addition, he will work with independent broker-dealers and registered investment advisors (RIAs) to identify investment solutions that meet their clients’ needs and long-term objectives.
Whyman has joined from Lafayette Square, a private credit firm where he served as head of private wealth distribution. Prior to that, he served as managing director, private fund distribution for iCapital. Whyman began his career at Barclays Investment Bank and later served as vice president, structured investments for both Deutsche Bank and Citi.
Partners Group
Switzerland-headquartered Partners Group took
another step in its US expansion drive this week, announcing that
John Sievers, formerly at firms such as Brookfield Asset
Management and Oaktree Capital Management, had come on board. He
is based in New York.
Sievers is the new head of private wealth solutions, and a managing director, the business said on its Linkedin page.
“John is the latest in a series of key leadership hires intended to support the growth of Partners Group’s Private Wealth business, particularly in the US,” it said.
As announced in early June, Partners Group appointed Anastasia Amoroso as managing director and chief investment strategist for private wealth and retirement. She joined the firm in late June, and is also based in New York.
In other hires, Partners Group said in February that Phil
Shankweiler had joined as managing director and head of RIA
sales. Heather Grubbs, meanwhile,
joined as MD and global head of private wealth marketing, based
in Denver.
The firm says it is a prominent player in what are called “evergreen” funds – open-ended funds that, unlike conventional private equity, don’t have a pre-set exit date, drawdowns and capital calls.
